1. About these terms

These terms govern your use of www.maths.monster ("the Service"), operated by Bill Hargreaves ("we", "us", "our"). By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to these terms.

2. The service

Maths Monster provides GCSE maths spaced-practice resources including questions, worked solutions, video explanations, and AI-powered homework marking. Content is delivered via the website and automated emails.

3. Accounts

• You must be 18 or over to create an account.
• Accounts are intended for use by a parent, guardian or teacher on behalf of a student.
• You are responsible for keeping your login credentials secure.
• One account per household. Sharing login credentials with others is not permitted.

4. Subscriptions and payments

• Free accounts have access to lessons and unit pages only.
• Paid subscriptions (Basic, Premium, Premium Plus) unlock additional features as described on our pricing page.
• Payments are processed securely by Stripe. We do not store your card details.
• Subscriptions renew automatically. You can cancel at any time via your account page or the Stripe customer portal.
• Refunds are handled on a case-by-case basis. Contact support@maths.monster.

5. Content and intellectual property

• All questions, solutions, explanations and other educational content on the Service are copyright © Maths Monster 2026. All rights reserved.
• You may use the content for personal educational purposes only.
• You may not copy, redistribute, sell, or publish any content from the Service without our written permission.
• Assessment PDFs are for personal use by the registered subscriber's household only.

6. Homework submissions and AI marking

• When you upload homework images, they are processed by our AI marking system to provide feedback on mathematical communication.
• AI feedback is automated and provided for educational guidance only. It does not replace teacher assessment.
• Uploaded images are stored for up to 30 days, then automatically deleted. Archived copies may be retained for progress tracking until you request deletion.
• You must only upload images of mathematical work. Do not upload images containing personal information, faces, or inappropriate content.

7. Acceptable use

You must not:

• Use the Service for any unlawful purpose
• Attempt to access other users' accounts or data
• Scrape, download or bulk-copy content from the Service
• Use automated tools (bots, scrapers) to access the Service
• Upload malicious files or attempt to exploit the upload system
• Share your account credentials with anyone outside your household

8. Availability and changes

• We aim to keep the Service available but do not guarantee 100% uptime.
• We may update, modify or discontinue features at any time.
• Material changes to these terms will be communicated by email.

9. Limitation of liability

The Service is provided "as is". While we strive for accuracy, we do not guarantee that all mathematical content is error-free. AI-generated marking feedback is automated and should not be treated as a substitute for qualified teacher assessment.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, our liability for any claim arising from your use of the Service is limited to the amount you have paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim.

10. Termination

• You may close your account at any time by emailing support@maths.monster.
• We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms.
• On account closure, we will delete your personal data in accordance with our Privacy Policy.

11. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
